Beteseb Enterprises builds and operates businesses across telecommunications and digital health, connecting African markets and health systems to global networks.
Beteseb Enterprises was founded by Fasika Teferra and Daniel in 2021, bringing together operational and clinical expertise to build businesses across telecommunications and digital health in Africa. The name Beteseb means "family" in Amharic.
Today, Beteseb operates two business sectors: telecommunications and digital health.
Beteseb's telecommunications business operates service centers across Ethiopia, providing customers with access to mobile connectivity and essential digital services. These centers serve as physical access points into the digital economy, connecting individuals and businesses to broader communication networks.
With five strategic locations across Addis Ababa, the business serves over 30,000 customers every month. The telecommunications business also provides the infrastructure on which Beteseb's digital health platform, Axis, is deployed.
Axis is Beteseb's digital health platform, deployed on Beteseb's telecommunications infrastructure.
Axis launched as a pilot connecting patients with each other, building a peer network for health empowerment and support. Since then, Axis has expanded to connect patients with the local and global health ecosystem, linking them with providers, institutions, and health resources across Ethiopia and beyond.
Since launching in 2023, Axis has grown to serve between 35,000 and 63,000 users monthly across Ethiopia. The platform continues to expand its network of providers and institutions, extending patients' access from peer support into a wider, connected health system.
Axis reflects the clinical and operational perspective of Beteseb's leadership, combining medical expertise with a systems-building approach to healthcare access.
